OKLAHOMA signee Trae Young put on a show this past weekend at the 5th annual #BILAAG in Long Beach, CA. He showed off his impressive range and great ball-handling ability in front of a sold-out crowd at Long Beach City College. This will be hist last camp and or event he participates in before reporting to Oklahoma for summer workouts on June 4th.
AFTER his impressive performance, I caught up with Trae to ask him a few questions. Take a look at our interview below.
AW: What're your goals as a freshman this season at Oklahoma?
TY: "My team goals are always first. Win the regular season BIG12 and win the national championship. I've always been a winner. My individual goals would be to be the best teammate I can be."
AW: Describe your experience with MoKan basketball
TY: "I can't say enough about the people involved with MoKan and what they've done for me. It's the best AAU program in the country."
AW: What message do you have for Oklahoma basketball fans?
TY: "We're going to make a name for Oklahoma this year."
MY interview with Trae ended when DeAaron Fox walked by and grabbed my phone hoping it was recording a video. Trae Young has all of the tools, on and off the court to have a HUGE, ONE AND DONE kind of year at Oklahoma University.
